Blaque: A New Look at Fetish, Vol. II

Indigo Blaque LLC’s New Table Top Book,

Announcing the release of Blaque: A New Look at Fetish, Vol. II, by Fetish Photographer Darque of Indigo Blaque Studios.  The successful release of Indigo Blaque: A New Look at Fetish, Vol. 1, is introduces the latest edition to the New Look at Fetish Series.  Blaque: A New Look at Fetish, Vol. II, a visual essay in black and white that continues to give viewers yet another glimpse inside of the mind of Darque.  “This book is not what it started out to be. After the first book, I was not sure where I wanted to go in terms of follow up. Volume II started as a continuation of the first book, but it didn’t feel right. So, I erased the book and started from scratch. Scratch meant taking the color out and cutting back on the editing and letting the work truly speak for itself”, says Darque.  Images of bondage and latex are profound, as skin tight imagery captivates beauty that encourages stimulating visual and mental sensuality. The esteemed Viola Johnson pens her support of Darque and Indigo Blaque Studio with inspiring words, as shared in the forward of Volume II.

Darque is the distinguished winner of the 2007 Art Show held in New England at the Fetish Flea.  His photography is a permanent fixture in the Carter-Johnson Library, a renowned traveling tribute to Leather History.  The most recent Indigo Blaque photographic works were displayed in August 2008, at Floating World in Edison New Jersey.  Indigo Blaque is featured in the guest gallery within the Members Area of Ebony-Bondage.org.  Darque is also featured in the February 2009 issue of TruFetish, an online publication that gives an in depth view of fetishes.

Indigo Blaque, LLC is a full function design studio located in Brooklyn, New York, dedicated to the BDSM lifestyle.  Exciting elements include layout and design (including make-up).  Indigo Blaque Photography will transpose your ideas and fantasies — into reality.

I look forward to getting my own copy to go with the first volume.

BlackBEAT Atlanta

I got this in my mail, and I thought I would pass it along.  If your in the Atlanta area, I expect this to be a great group.

Greetings to all:

Some of you know, others probably will find out soon enough, but we’ve taken the plunge and created Black BEAT Atlanta!

We’ve received permission to put things together, so now I’m emailing most of you that are in the Southeast area as well that might know people that have been wanting to figure out what’s going on.

Those of you on FetLife can find the group under Black Beat Atlanta Munch Group, and I just created the yahoo group earlier this evening as well:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BlackBEATAtlanta

If you know anyone that would be interested in joining and participating in the group, by all means send the email with the link to the yahoo/fetlife group and go from there.

Plans are in the works to do a startup munch in late September, before DOMCON Atlanta.

Hope to see you soon…

Book of Days – 7/6/09

A few posts back I wrote about a new blog spot called Service Savoire Faire started by a friend.  One of the blogs was about a book of days.  This is a way to remember the “now” moments of life and is something that is done every Monday or more if you like.  Today is my first Monday, feel free to join in with me.  Master has so graciously shown me how to create my own blog spot so I think I will post my other days there but start my week off here.

Read the following prompts:

  • Outside my windowit’s green trees and lush grass.  The sky is a baby blue with white clouds.  Peace and beauty
  • my thoughts…are introspective.  Releasing and trying to relax into the uncontrollable moments of life
  • Today’s Quote…taken from the daily mantra…I wanted a perfect ending.  Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end.  Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next.  Delicious ambiguity. (Gilda Radner)
  • i am thankful for…this moment, my family, my Master, being able to feel hurt and happiness
  • From my service training… decorating with a limited budget.  Master passed along this link that talked about creating roman shades from regular blinds
  • From the kitchen… hmmm guess I should plan something
  • i am wearing…royal blue silk blouse, baby blue pants, natural hair twists, my silver collar, and silver earrings
  • i am creating… nothing at the moment
  • my adventures this week… no adventures planned for this week.
  • Becoming well read…  Listening to an audio book on the Four Agreements and contemplating getting a book called Waiting for Autumn by Scott Blum http://www.scottblum.net/books/downloads/wfa-first3chapters.pdf
  • i manifest and co-create… speak good and positive thoughts into existence.  I pray for peace and acceptance and clarity.
  • Todays Melody Listening to the soundtrack from “Waiting to Exhale”  It is fabulous…although I think the movie could have been better but love the premise.
  • One of my favorite things is to listen to music and sing
  • further plans for this week…pay bills, go shopping for the clothes for the kids, pray
  • Still….life (share a picture you’ve taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)  Freedom

Normal M/s?

So, Master came to visit for the entire week.  Yay.  It was really good having him here and us bonding.  But it was just so…normal,  lol.  Now I didn’t think that we would be scening every night and stuff…but still.  I got up in the morning and went to work while he did his job from my home.  I came home and made dinner and we chatted and did stuff just like every other couple.  It was awesome.  LOL

I have seen posts when people would asks how is it possible to live a 24/7 M/s lifestyle with children or how to switch from slave or Master to non-slave or non-Master.  Other than sex, which no one has in front of children anyway, being Master and slave in front of the children looked no different than anything else.  When I cooked dinner I served him first then the children.   When we went in the room and the door was closed the kids knocked before entering same as usual.   In terms of a little special playtime, well that was for after the kids went to bed and with the door closed and locked.  Just like any other non M/s  couple you learn to improvise and keep the noise down.  lol

Also, when we went out to dinner it was again, totally normal looking.  He ordered, I fixed his drinks and stuff the way he liked.   When I walked to the right of him, no one but us knew what it meant.

I had a fabulous time being with Master this week and it wasn’t as difficult as I imagined it would be.  It could be that I just decided to not stress but to just “be”.  No forward looking, no wishing for better anything, it was just us.  Yeah, normal and wonderful. 🙂

Huston: We Haz Mo Sex; Fort Worth: We have a Problem.

Today I bring you news from Texas.

First up, I found this today on the web: Huston has more sex than any other city in the US.  Well at least according to a non-scientific study by Trojan Condoms.  The Huston Press blog Hair Balls fills in the details.

So you can see why we might believe the “scientific survey” ain’t so scientific.

A polling company invited people to take an online survey and compiled 1,000 responses; the results: Houstonians can certainly bone it like they own it.

The survey says we have sex 101 times a year; people in the hellhole of Dallas-Fort Worth make it only 73 times a year. San Francisco is allegedly just sixty times a year.

You go guys.

Next up, I bring you news that is a bit more disturbing.  Police are being investigated in Ft Worth after a raid/alcohol inspection on a gay night club lead to 7 arrests and accusations of improper Police actions.  The story is a bit confusing, but I would suggest that anyone interested go to the source and read the story. There is a video as well, but limitations from my host prevent me from linking to it.

I should note that the event took place 40 years to the day after the famous Stonewall riots in New York. (see this for more).

Fort Worth – More than 100 people rallied outside the Tarrant County Courthouse in Fort Worth to protest a raid by Fort Worth Police and members of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Early Sunday morning, agents of the TABC, along with the Fort Worth police raided the newly-opened “Rainbow Lounge” on South Jennings St. The raid coincides with 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York, an event that some believe as the start of the modern U.S. gay rights movement.

This is disturbing if the allegations are true.

What do you think?  Let me know, in the comments.
