Service Book of Day 3/29/10

29 03 2010

v Outside my window… (weather, what do you hear, what do you see?)  is darkness, coldness  and rainy.  The weather has not evened out yet but I can feel spring coming J.  So I wrote the first two sentences for last week and it is the same thing this Monday.   But you know how they say about it April showers bring May flowers and I can totally see everything start budding J

v my thoughts… on just how short life can be.  Just found out today that someone at my job had a heart a tack on Friday.  He is doing fine but it just goes to show you really never know when it is your time.

v Today’s Quote… Your life could end while you wait for it to start.  (Me)  I made the decision a while ago to not wait for others to start my life.  The bible says that Jesus came to give us life to the full.  I think it is our duty to live that life he has given us.

v i am thankful for…being able to appreciate each day that I have.  I don’t rush my days by wondering about or waiting until tomorrow.

v From my service training…(any skills, training etc; notes you want to share this week) Consistency in obedience.

v From the kitchen…(menu for the week, what are you cooking?)  Very simple items this week.  I am going for more lean proteins and less intentional carbs such as breads and such.

v i am wearing… My workout clothes.  I am working out twice a day and I am feeling great about it.

v i am creating…(crafts, sewing etc;)  My life.

v my adventures this week…(where are you going this week?)  Spring cleaning and if you have seen my backyard you would know that it is definitely an adventure…LOL

v Becoming well read…(What are you reading this week?)  Listening to my podcasts.

v i manifest and co-create…(what are your hopes, dreams, and prayers this week) excitement, energy,

v Today’s Melody…(what music are you listening to? even if it’s just the sound of a bird…) As crazy as this might seem but I have been hearing Ludicris’ song “My Chick is Bad”.

v One of my favorite things…is to listen to Master breath.  For some reason this has been soothing to me since we met.

v further plans for this week…keeping it low…no plans for the week.

v Still….life(share a picture you’ve taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)  Photo used with permission via http://www.sxc.hu/info.phtml?f=help&s=8_2

Service Book of Days 10/26/09

26 10 2009

Outside my window… (weather, what do you hear, what do you see?)for the past few days at work we have inundated with ladybugs. Some believe that they are good luck. It reminded me of my favorite movie “under the tuscan sun”

my thoughts…From the movie one of the characters tells the story of when she was a little girl she would search for ladybugs and not find them. One day she fell asleep in the grass and woke up with ladybugs all over here. The point being stop searching and you will find what you desire.
Sometimes I can be so consumed with trying to find out how to be a slave that I miss the chance to just be a slave.

Today’s Quote…A joyful life is an individual creation that cannot be copied from a recipe.
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience, 1990
I resolve to not look to how others live their lives to try and validate my life. I resolve to live my own life and create my own story.

i am thankful for…always my family, all my moments – good and bad. I know I keep saying this but these are the things that I am most thankful for…everything else is just gravy, as the saying goes.

From my service training…(any skills, training etc; notes you want to share this week) Also, I am going to start working again with my belly dancing DVD. Master loves sensual dance so this will be something worthwhile for me to learn. Exploring my sensual self. I am women and I love my sensual self.

From the kitchen…(menu for the week, what are you cooking?) I am looking forward to finding and cooking our new recipe for this week. Hmmm think I will try cooking fish.

i am wearing…Nothing….sitting here holding floppy my big fluffy doggie Master bought for me 🙂

i am creating…(crafts, sewing etc;) nothing new at the moment. But I am looking forward to trying my hand at making gifts this year.

my adventures this week…(where are you going this week?) Continued repairs on my house and packing my clothes to spend time with Master next week.

Becoming well read…(What are you reading this week?)…A science fiction podcast called the 7th Son and Master recommended Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management (Oxford World’s Classics)

i manifest and co-create…(what are your hopes, dreams, and prayers this week) Peace and tranquility in my house and with my children. I pray for the people around us to not take their life for granted. Incidentally, the phrase “peace and tranquility” is Master’s new signoff tagline.

Todays Melody..(what music are you listening to? even if it’s just the sound of a bird…)  No melodies today…just quiet.

Still….life (share a picture you’ve taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)

This is a picture of a corset that I bought at one BlackBEAT but more importantly my next tattoo of Master’s initials. 🙂

Service Book of Days – 8/31/09

31 08 2009

You know at one time I got tired of doing these posts every week as I found myself just making up stuff to put in it.  I think I missed the purpose of them.  The purpose is to not make me feel burdened but for me to take a moment and remember my life day by day and not just “go through” this life unaware.  At least that’s what sunk in for me as I posting this week’s post.

Outside my window…it was a bright day a little on the chilly side.

· my thoughts… are living honestly and open

· Today’s Quote…  People often say that beauty if in the eye of the beholder and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder.  This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look including inside ourselves…Salma Hayek

· i am thankful for… the many opportunities i have for growth

· From my service training… to be honest with myself.  this means being honest in looking at and working through all of the messy emotions and messy emotions are not easy for me.  i might try and fool myself into glossing over and only looking as far as the surface but to be honest to myself and to Master requires that I do more than just the minimum.

· From the kitchen… curry rice, mixed vegetables and baked chicken.

· i am wearing… a turquoise sundress

· i am creating… nothing…i am letting my Father’s universe guide me

· my adventures this week… school shopping and getting the kids ready for the rigors of highschool and middle school

· Becoming well read… A dragonfly in Amber…listening slowly to the Four Agreements (again)

· Today’s Melody… “And I gave my Love to you”…Sonja Marie…From the Waiting to Exhale Soundtrack

· One of my favorite things… Laughing out loud…I mean really loud…makes the body feel good.

· Further plans for this week… school shopping and preparing the kids for school.  I have one senior, one middle schooler (7th grade) and one 10th grader.

· Still….life… simple obedience.

Book of Days – 7/6/09

6 07 2009

A few posts back I wrote about a new blog spot called Service Savoire Faire started by a friend.  One of the blogs was about a book of days.  This is a way to remember the “now” moments of life and is something that is done every Monday or more if you like.  Today is my first Monday, feel free to join in with me.  Master has so graciously shown me how to create my own blog spot so I think I will post my other days there but start my week off here.

Read the following prompts:

  • Outside my windowit’s green trees and lush grass.  The sky is a baby blue with white clouds.  Peace and beauty
  • my thoughts…are introspective.  Releasing and trying to relax into the uncontrollable moments of life
  • Today’s Quote…taken from the daily mantra…I wanted a perfect ending.  Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end.  Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next.  Delicious ambiguity. (Gilda Radner)
  • i am thankful for…this moment, my family, my Master, being able to feel hurt and happiness
  • From my service training… decorating with a limited budget.  Master passed along this link that talked about creating roman shades from regular blinds
  • From the kitchen… hmmm guess I should plan something
  • i am wearing…royal blue silk blouse, baby blue pants, natural hair twists, my silver collar, and silver earrings
  • i am creating… nothing at the moment
  • my adventures this week… no adventures planned for this week.
  • Becoming well read…  Listening to an audio book on the Four Agreements and contemplating getting a book called Waiting for Autumn by Scott Blum http://www.scottblum.net/books/downloads/wfa-first3chapters.pdf
  • i manifest and co-create… speak good and positive thoughts into existence.  I pray for peace and acceptance and clarity.
  • Todays Melody Listening to the soundtrack from “Waiting to Exhale”  It is fabulous…although I think the movie could have been better but love the premise.
  • One of my favorite things is to listen to music and sing
  • further plans for this week…pay bills, go shopping for the clothes for the kids, pray
  • Still….life (share a picture you’ve taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)  Freedom

A book of days – Service Savoire Faire

26 06 2009

I wrote a blog spot about a new resource for those who serve called  Service Savoire Faire.  There is a new post up that I think would be be very useful to you.  It is called “A book of days” and, per the spot, is for “taking stock in our present.  I know I can get stuck in remembering the good old days or trying to plan for what may happen in the future and missing all of the things that happen in my present.  This is an interactive activity and something for you to keep notes for every day.  We only get one day to live in our present.

I think this will be a good resource for those who serve and for those who might want to pick up a few pointers for themselves.  I suggest putting this in your favorites of places to view often.

Hope you enjoy it and have fun with it.  If you care to, please share something you picked up from the site.
