5 Questions with NCMaster

NCMaster is a good friend of mine, and a local leather leader who has received some small renown.  So it was natural that I would ask to interview him.  Hope you like it.

5 Questions

1) Who is NCMaster?

NCMaster is a Leather Lifestyle Dominant that has been in the lifestyle for over 20 years. I have been married to My wife/slave for about 6 years now. We are very active in the local and regional Leather Community. I have served on the Board of Directors for Capex for 3 terms. My slave and I have hosted a D/s Relationship SIG in our home for the last 4 1/2 years. We have an extended Leather Family that has become very close and we spend a lot of time with our family.

2) How did you get into the Scene/Lifestyle?

Like many, I can remember having kinky thoughts and ideas even as a child. During My first marriage which was vanilla, I tried to involve my wife in some of the things I wanted to do, but it just wasn’t going to happen. After the divorce, I began to explore and discovered that other people shared My interests. This was before the Internet and I didn’t realize that there were groups that were into these things. Soon I discovered the Leather community and found a home. I began learning as much as I could from both dominants and submissives, experimenting with everything I learned.

3) What is our claim to fame in the scene? i.e What are you know for?

I think I am known as a community leader and a knowledgeable Elder. I have done presentations on many aspects of the lifestyle across the southeast for local, regional and national organizations.

4) What should the next Generation know?

The next generation should become knowledgeable in the traditions of our heritage and the sacrifices of those that lead the way. The next generation should also learn of the respect and dedication for the Leather Lifestyle that defines us. The next generation should also learn to be adventurous and pave their own path in some ways. Take the lessons from the past and define them in new ways.

5) What is important?

Personal Integrity. Loyalty. Honor, and self Respect.

A Blog Worth Checking Out

I ran across this gem the other day, and I thought I would share it with my readers. I am always on the look out for new and interesting blogs and I think My Life on Parade is one worth checking out.

It is the tales and experiences of a young submissive woman, who right now is living abroad in Japan. It can be funny and sad too, but I particularly want to call out two posts. The first is about Submissive Training and is basically a recounting of what to look for in a trainer.  There is some good stuff here, particullarly if your new.

1) Basic Play Training

One thing I feel must be a part of everything training is lessons about basic play/equipment used in play.

For example: Do you know the proper way to go about doing rope bondage? How to check for proper blood circulation? When to stop to avoid damage?

This kind of knowledge is imperative and often times can save submissives from injury, especially when they play with Dom/mes that may not know exactly what they are doing.

The next post I would recommend is one about her submission called My Submission. It is a brief, but beautiful expression of what being a submissive woman means to her.

For me, my submission isn’t about being controlled, restrained, killing my will or losing my indepedence. It’s much deeper than that. I am a submissive because at my very core I have the unabashed, unconditional, unyielding desire to serve. And with that, to serve someone who will in turn exploit every part of my nature.

There are some posts I would take issue of, but nothing truly important.  They are just a matter of perspective. (An example is her believe that a submissive female is more correct than a female submissive.  That ignores the fact that languages do evolve and that sometimes an adjective changes into a noun or other part of speech. But then that is somewhat a common feeling, and no harm is done, so I am fine with it, that post does have some pretty good material in it though).

Service Book of Days (July 13, 2009)

  • Outside my window… or on the train today, I usually pass this area that is filled with dead trees and in them today I saw these vibrant purple flowers 🙂

  • Becoming well read… Listening to an audio book on the Four Agreements. Reading and meditating on the Tao of Holding Space.

  • i manifest and co-create… speak good and positive thoughts into existence.  I pray for peace and acceptance and clarity.

  • Todays Melody… Listening to Incognito. Love the jazzy feel 80’s feel of this CD

  • One of my favorite things… is to laugh out loud at corny jokes. I love them because they are so corny and usual spontaneous.

  • further plans for this week…get prepared for my new boss, pack my daughter’s clothes, clear my room and my head.

A Couple of BDSM Equipment Sites

I ran across these sites today, and I thought I would share them.

Finding good BDSM equipment is hard, and often expensive. The first site shows you how to over come this by making your own. Sartan’s BDSM Workshop has designs for making all sorts of gear from Crosses and spanking benches, to leather gear. Good project designs and ideas for your own creations.

Every design, from the simple to the complex, begins with a concept. As a start, I would suggest you write yours down (yes, on paper!). Doing so forces you to think about what you really want to accomplish with the piece you’re designing.

A concept can be very simple: “I’d like a piece of equipment to securely restrain someone’s arms behind their back.” You might revisit it later and revise, but get something down on paper. This is like your guiding vision. Good sources of ideas include pictures, other people’s work, positioning a live person, and simple imagination.
