BDSM Comic

I found a link to a story about an artist doing BDSM Comics. I like to do lighter things on the weekends, so enjoy the story.

Two years ago, I was plowing my way through a bunch of commissioned sketches for various folks, and hit a streak of, shall we say, “distressed damsel” requests. (Welcome to the exciting world of not having a regular gig in comics or elsewhere, BTW! Gotta earn that cash somehow, baby) Nothing too graphic or very “extreme” about them, but these latter commissions become very tiresome very quickly… So, in place of boringly static sketches of “Wonder Woman runs afoul of her frickin’ golden lasso yet again” and the like, I started drawing a series of very short, theoretically humorous “continuity pieces” about a plucky but oft-distressed superheroine, under the obviously ironic title of Empowered

Atlanta Bound 2008

Sometimes it difficult to find something to write about, sometimes it falls in your lap. I was pondering what to post today when an email came about Atlanta Bound 2008. It is held at 1763, in my opinion the premier dungeon in the southeast. A gathering of kinky folk where you can focus on learning about BDSM.

An educational weekend comprising of more than 7 bondage classes and suspension classes, photography classes, a photo shoot day, 3 parties including a 7 hour play party @ America’s largest dungeon, a fetish art showing featuring Atlanta’s top fetish artist, A Book signing by David Lawrence and more!

When: March 28th ,29th and 30th 2008

Who: Anyone with an interest in bondage, ropes, parties and educational offerings

Where: 1763-America’s largest dungeon and A DeViant Place of Decadence

Cost: Prices starting as low as $20 or book the whole weekend for just $45.00 including the play party! ***This is not a misprint*** The entire weekend including the Bound to Play party for only $45.00!!!

Why: Education is fundamental in this lifestyle! Your community support and participation in community events allow these events to continue to come to you!

Check it out, I am sure you will be glad you did.

SELF “Podcast”

The blog has spoken about SELF before (Southeast Leather Fest), a BDSM event held every year in the city of Atlanta. They have on their site something they call podcasts (they aren’t podcasts, podcasts you subscribe to and then are automatically downloaded each night on your PC, so you can listen to them each morning as they come out, very nice system). These audio interviews, which you can either download or listen to them on their web page, are available for free here. I really wanted to listen to these, I was so psyched about a podcast about the lifestyle (there are others, btw, and I intend to review them in time). I was EXTREMELY disappointed to see that they really don’t have podcasts, but audio interviews. If you are going to use a term, at least understand what it means.

The Clothes Pins Game.

Came up an interesting game to play with esclave, and I thought I would share.

  1. Start with a large quantity of clothes pins (depends on your sub, I recommend at least 50 to start).
  2. The dominant records a number and seals it in an envelope. The number should be less than the number of clothes pins.
  3. The submissive the places clothes pins on her body, one at a time. (I also recommend that a 10 second or more delay is required between each clothes pin.)
  4. If the submissive places more clothes pins on her body than the number that the dominant has recorded, then she gets a prize.
  5. If she places equal to are less than that number….

You can vary the rules some. Assigning mandatory places for pins (they don’t put them there, they loose), allow certain pin placements to have more value, etc.

Let me know what you think of this game in the comments.

Mindwire

OK, we all are familiar with the idea of pervertables. If not, they are normal items that can be used for a BDSM related activity.  Well here is one for the e-stim players. A company in England has come out with a device that when hooked to a computer can deliver a shock when you fail in a game. Engadget has a review here.

The device works by splitting your controller input to the “brain” of the V5 and your console, then sends electric jolts via electrode pads on your skin. Right now the company has a model tested and working with the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and PCs, though they appear to be making preparations for current gen consoles in the next iteration of the device. If you’re content with the choices at hand, this self-torture can be yours for £99.99 (or around $201). Check the totally awesome video after the break to see the V5 in action.
