Sad news folks. I received word yesterday that BlackB.E.A.T. won’t be happening this year. While the details as to why the event was canceled, they did say that they were looking for volunteers to run the event in 2014. You can read more about it here. As avid readers of my blog already know, I have attended many of these events over the last decade and have served as the director of security for them for a number of occasions. I do hope that they are able to find someone to take over for them, or to assist them in bringing back the conference.
That said, a few individuals are wanting to meet at the same weekend. I like the idea, and if I can get away, I might just join them. You can find out more on FetLife.
