Service Book of Days 1/25/10

25 01 2010

v Outside my window… (weather, what do you hear, what do you see?)  is rain and wind.  It wasn’t too bad though as the warmth of the higher temps felt great.

v my thoughts…are hopeful and excited.

v Today’s Quote… I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time.

Anna Freud
Austrian psychoanalyst & psychologist (1895 – 1982)

I sometimes rue being the one to have to be strong all the time but it is this strength that has enabled me to live the life I am living now.  Those times when I was looking for others to take over were the times my life was not my own.

Being Master’s slave takes strength and confidence to live truly as his slave.

v i am thankful for…butter pecan ice cream and chocolate syrup

v From my service training…(any skills, training etc; notes you want to share this week) Grace and inner peace.

v From the kitchen…(menu for the week, what are you cooking?)  grilled steak with rice and sautéed peppers, spaghetti, porkchops with string beans and leftovers J

v i am wearing… a maroon square necked blouse with ruffles around the neckline and pinstripe black pants.

v i am creating…(crafts, sewing etc;)  I am a work of art being molded and formed by Master.

v my adventures this week…(where are you going this week?)  No adventures this week.    Fixing the house to sale.

v Becoming well read…(What are you reading this week?)  I just bought a new book by Don Miguel Ruiz called The Mastery of Love.  I look forward to delving into it.

v i manifest and co-create…(what are your hopes, dreams, and prayers this week) Peace and tranquility in my house and with my children.

v Today’s Melody…(what music are you listening to? even if it’s just the sound of a bird…) You’re My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration by Teddy Pendagrass.

v One of my favorite things… is to have a clean house.  I love coming home to things neat and tidy.

v further plans fror this week…Continuing to fix the house to sell.

v Still….life(share a picture you’ve taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)

Service Book of Days 1/18/10

18 01 2010

v Outside my window… (weather, what do you hear, what do you see?)  It is a beautiful day out.  I went out for a run and the weather was cold but not brutally so.  Perfect weather for running.

v my thoughts…are open and accepting.  It has been a year since I have been Master’s slave and I am choosing not to look back but to look forward to more.

v Today’s Quote… 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails….And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (NIV)

This is one of my favorite quotes.  It shows how love for someone goes past the emotional phase.  Being in love with someone takes active participation.  It takes living.  It takes growth.

v i am thankful for…my life and being alive.  For the struggles and being fortunate enough to love and be loved.

v From my service training…(any skills, training etc; notes you want to share this week) Grace and inner peace.

v From the kitchen…(menu for the week, what are you cooking?)  Planned menu for the week will include, baked chicken, fish, spaghetti.

v i am wearing…my comfy clothes with fuzzy socks

v i am creating…(crafts, sewing etc;)  I am a work of art being molded and formed by Master.

v my adventures this week…(where are you going this week?)  No adventures this week.    Fixing the house to sale.

v Becoming well read…(What are you reading this week?)  I have been listening to a podiobook written by Scott Sigler.  He does great  horror podcasts.

v i manifest and co-create…(what are your hopes, dreams, and prayers this week) Peace and tranquility in my house and with my children.

v Today’s Melody…(what music are you listening to? even if it’s just the sound of a bird…) No tunes today.

v One of my favorite things… has become the endorphin rush from working out.  I always love to just get out doors and run.  Such a freeing experience.  There is always a challenge to be met in running so I never get bored of it.  I am glad that with my physical limitation I can get back outside and run.

v further plans for this week…Continuing to fix the house to sell.  It has been extremely windy on the east coast and such wind tore pieces of siding from my house.  Sighs…something else to add to the list.

v Still….life(share a picture you’ve taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)

This is another picture taken by my daughter when she went to the butterfly habitat.

Service Book of Days 1/4/10 – Happy New Year

4 01 2010
  • Outside my window… (weather, what do you hear, what do you see?)  it is really cold outside.  Unfortunately the cold is not my type of weather and it just makes me feel tired and unproductive.  But this week despite the cold I don’t feel unproductive.  I feel really good.  Could be the leftover feelings from a really good time spent with Master and the kiddies.
  • my thoughts…are mindful.  Realizing that my emotions do not govern everyone else’s actions.
  • Today’s Quote… When you relinquish the desire to control your future, you can have more happiness.      Nicole Kidmanin The Scotsman

This is where I am at the moment.  I seem to have picked up somethings that are not mine to have.  They are Master’s to control.  My happiness does not come from fighting his control of me.  I know this without question.  It seems that surrender is not a one time thing but ongoing and filled with awareness.

  • i am thankful for…for my family.  For being able to live life out loud J
  • From my service training…(any skills, training etc; notes you want to share this week) Grace.  Learning what it means to top from the bottom.
  • From the kitchen…(menu for the week, what are you cooking?)  this week will be centered on warm and comforting foods.  Tonight we had chili and tomorrow night I think I am going to make a stew.  I do plan on buying a smaller crockpot as I would like to make meals using it.  The one I have now is way too big.
  • i am wearing…my workout cloths.  Keeping true to my goal of not gaining my winter blubber…LOL
  • i am creating…(crafts, sewing etc;)  I am a work of art being molded and formed by Master.
  • my adventures this week…(where are you going this week?)  No adventures this week.  Getting back into the groove or being at work fulltime.
  • Becoming well read…(What are you reading this week?)  Listening to several podiobooks by Scott Sigler.  He is a horror writer with great visions.
  • i manifest and co-create…(what are your hopes, dreams, and prayers this week) Peace and tranquility in my house and with my children.
  • Today’s Melody…(what music are you listening to? even if it’s just the sound of a bird…) A little bit of this, a little bit of that, a little bit of good with a little bit of bad   (for some reason this song keeps playing in my brain in the background)
  • One of my favorite things… has become the endorphin rush from working out.  I always love to just get out doors and run.  Such a freeing experience.  There is always a challenge to be met in running so I never get bored of it.  I am glad that with my physical limitation I can get back outside and run.

30 11 2009
  • Outside my window… (weather, what do you hear, what do you see?)  of the van as I was turning into the complex, I saw a fox.  It was absolutely beautiful.
  • my thoughts…happy thoughts.  I spent a wonderfully long weekend with my family and Master.  It was wonderful.
  • Today’s Quote… Love is everything it’s cracked up to be…It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for.    Erica Jong, O Magazine, February 2004When you find someone that you can love doing giving everything but your all to it cheats yourself.  This is how I feel.  I love Master much and not being fully committed to U/us does the love I have for him a disservice.
  • i am thankful for…each and everyday.
  • From my service training…(any skills, training etc; notes you want to share this week) My daughter is teaching me how to crochet.  J

  • Still….life(share a picture you’ve taken OR a picture you found online that speaks to you)

The Hawk is one of Master’s totem:  Hawk teaches us to scope out the situation and focus on our talents, trying to draw them out. Hawk learns to see the big picture in order to understand the past, present, and future. Hawk asks us to be observant of surroundings so we won’t get distracted from our path by others. It also reminds us not to get caught up in minor annoyances so we can maintain our inner balance.  (http://www.animaltotem.com/store.html?wc=64)
