So every once and a while, I run across something I find fascinating. That happened a few weeks ago when I was approached about Nancy Ava Miller doing a tour to support her new book: PERVERT: Notes from the Sexual Underground. I did a bit of research and found out that she is the lady that founded PEP. Wow, what a great thing. And the book too. So, take a moment, go to her site and read about the book. Centered Through Meditation
20 09 2010One of the tools that I use to help keep me centered is meditation.
I meditate 3 days out of the week for 20 minutes. I usually meditate with soothing music playing and in a dark room. This helps me relax my mind after such a busy day which usually starts at 6:30am. Admittedly it is hard sometimes and it takes bit longer for me to relax into it. When those times happen I spend the first few moments just focusing on my breathing. I take deliberate breaths in and out until I feel my body relaxing and my mind opening up.
Master’s constant teaching for me is to learn how to just be. Be where I am at the moment and nothing more. I have the tendency to be all over the place and many days in the future. It has taken me sometime to really appreciate the times that I have for meditation because I kept thinking that my time could be better spent doing many of the hundred other things that I had to do.
What I realized though was that meditation actually helped me be more focused. Instead of running around doing many thing all at once I do one thing at a time giving my full time and attention to the task as needed.
Importantly when I meditate it reminds that I am doing this at my Master’s command. Each time I kneel in position I am submitting my will to my Master’s will.
For me, my submission to Master is one step at a time. I become my Master’s slave always and in all ways.

BDSM Events This Week: 1 in Real Time and 1 in Virtual Space
23 09 2009I wanted to bring to your attention two events that I recommend and will actually be attending. The first event is the BZ Conference in cyberspace. My girl has mentioned these before, but with what is coming up on Thursday, I thought I would mention it again. Master Black Zeus has been running these conferences for years now. He has won the BlackBEAT community award for providing these services to the community. (As a note, while Master Black Zeus was away attending the Masters and slaves conference in DC, he asked me to fill in for them for him. Had a blast doing it for the last 3 weeks).
I think that this experience is a great way for novices to get some experiences with some people who have a lot of real time knowledge. It is pretty good for more experienced players too. And tomorrow (Thursday the 24th, for those of you coming here later), Catherine Gross is being interviewed. I have spoken of her stuff before, and those of you unfamiliar with her should check out the links. If you want to attend, the password is “gifts” (without the quotes). It should be fascinating, and I hope to see some new faces there. Bring a mic so you can really participate (the software supports both a camera and a mic, but you can type if you are feeling shy or don’t have the equipment). Both myself and my girl (unless things change) will be there!
The other event, the Charlotte Fetish Fair Flea Market, will be in town this weekend. I am planning to attend this weekend, so if you want to catch me in person Saturday is the date to do so. In case you haven’t heard, the Fetish Fair Flea Market is:

Service Book of Days 9-7-9
7 09 2009- Outside my window…is a lot of noise going on as I have not been outside all day. I have been hibernating. Must be my pre-winter isolation coming on
