I have always heard that consistency is one of the most important characteristics for Dominants to have. It lets the ones who serve us come to learn what to expect. Mind you, the consistency is peculiar in that you can be consistently chaotic. Little bits of randomness thrown in, so long as you always do this. They come to expect it and miss it when it doesn’t happen.
But I have found that consistency needs to come from the submissives/slaves as well. From a personal perspective, I need my girl to behave in a consistent manner so I can determine when something is bothering her. Where I can know when something is up. When she is consistent, then this gives me the benefits of knowing what to expect. Giving me a basis for making good decisions on our relationship. When consistency is lacking, then I am often at a loss for what to do.
